Worship

Isn’t it a comfort to worship a God we cannot exaggerate? -- Francis ChanWe believe that worship is something we do to honour God, simply because when we contemplate Him, we cannot help but worship Him. Worship is a blessing to us too helping us to reset our persepectives, remembering that God is God and we are not. Worship does not always involve singing and music (though it often does). It is about aligning ourselves with God and reconnecting with Him for His glory and our good.

I need to worship because without it I can forget that I have a big God beside me and live in fear. I need to worship because without it I can forget his calling and begin to live in a spirit of self-preoccupation. I need to worship because without it I lose a sense of wonder and gratitude and plod through life with blinders on. I need worship because my natural tendency is toward self reliance and stubborn independence. --John Ortberg Worship has been misunderstood as something that arises from a feeling which ‘comes upon you,’ but it is vital that we understand that it is rooted in a conscious act of the will, to serve and obey the Lord Jesus Christ. --Graham Kendrick
