Our History

There has been a church meeting in Richard Newton Hall since the 1970s. The community of believers dwindled almost to the point of closure, at which point Brian Taylor and a small group mainly from Teignmouth Baptist Church began holding a monthly worship and prayer service in the hall - which grew and became North Teignmouth Community Church as we know it. We affiliated with South West Baptist Association in 2006, though continue as denominationally ‘Independent’. History continues to and beyond the present day, as new people arrive, new occasions arise, new challenges faced and new work begun.
