PRAYER PROGRAMME NORTH TEIGNMOUTH COMMUNITY CHURCH

Read – 1 Thessalonians 1:1-3

Paul visited Thessalonica during his second missionary journey but he was only there for a short time. He had to leave the city because of opposition from Jews but he left behind a Christ-centred church. (Acts 17:1-10). He moved on to other cities and it was while he was in Corinth that he wrote to the church at Thessalonica. Timothy and Silas had come to Corinth and brought news toPaul about the church in Thessalonica.

It was about 400 miles from Corinth to Thessalonica but distance didn’t matter because Paul, Timothy and Silas were praying to God who is not restricted by time, geography or distance.

With this encouragement from Paul, Silas and Timothy, we are going to pray for each other and all who are connected with North Teignmouth Community Church. So what resources are available.

          1.    Remember the daily prayer diary for 2020.

          2.    Use the prayers of Paul – Ephesians 1:15-23, 3:14-21; Philippians 1:9-11; Colossians 1:9b-12. Put your name in or the names of others from the church.

Romans 8:26-27 – “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”
